- Technical Discussion: For a 15 min. presentation, you should have from 7-15 slides depending on their contents. Remember that every other student will have an abstract only of your paper. You need to present the main ideas, in your own words and descriptions, and not copy directly from the paper. You should understand what is being stated in the paper. You will most likely need to read ahead in your paper to understand what is going on.
- Your slides need to be concise, do not type paragraphs onto your pages. Use bullets and type in the main phrase or idea. You may copy pictures from the paper as you need them to explain the idea of the paper.
- For each presentation, you need to bring 2 questions in on the last slide, questions that you think are good ones about what you read in the paper to that point. We will discuss these questions in class.
- Turn in to me, before you give your presentation, your slides, including your questions.
- I will have some sample slides/viewgraphs for you to look at if you would like.
