Myth: It takes an experienced hacker to send anonymous email

Truth: Sending emails anonymously can be done by anyone. Three identified methods, in order of increasing difficulty, include:

• Setting up a web-based email account with Hotmail or Yahoo
• Going into your email client's settings and replacing your name and email address with a pseudonym and fake address
• Sending email through a remailer
